Welcome to my Digital Art Page!
In here you will find pictures of work that I have created in the Digital Art Class throughout Second Semester (Spring 2015).
Learning to use Photoshop and Illustrator is valuable because in todays world, most of the created banners. flyers and artwork is created through programs like these. Learning how to use these programs will also get you a lot of money.
One of the most important art concepts I learned in this class was Contrast. It is defined as the opposite of something(color) and is important because without contrast, you would not be able to see drawings in a picture because everything would be the same." Two ways to create contrast is opacity and shading. Opacity is a form of contrast because the higher the opacity is, the higher the contrast. Shading is another form of contrast because its a form of distinguishing between light and dark colors.

This is the first project that I have completed in the Digital Art Class. From this project, I learned how to Make my work look more real. For example, if you were to look to the eyes of the image, you would see that they look somewhat real. I also learned how to add shading to the skin, and the hair. The only reason for which you may not be able to see details in my hair is because I drew my hair when I started. To recap, learning how to give my eyes more definition and seem more real, + shading were the two most important things that I learned how to do because I will most likely use these concepts again in future projects.
ROCKET PROS
The purpose of this project was to produce a shoe and then make it into ad to advertise it and get people to buy it.
This project reflected mostly on Knowledge and Thinking, and Agency. It also reflected a little on Written Communication.
Throughout this project, I learned how to use a lot of different tools in Photoshop. For example, I learned how to use special effects like Bevel and Emboss, Texture, Outer Glow, Inner Glow, Etc. I also learned how to use the lasso tool which was a very essential tool for completing the project.
This project shows that I have had knowledge growth. I have learned how to a lot of new tools on photoshop that I never knew that existed.
I think that the hardest part of this project was the drawing because I had to erase so many times and then redraw.
There are a few design principles that need to be followed when making an ad:
1. Make sure that the there is a lot of contrast between the objects in the image.
2. Make sure that the arrangement of the objects are in the form of the Z shape. This is because when someone reads the article, the eyes of the person will naturally follow the pattern of the letter without you even knowing of it.
3. An ad should have a name, and a slogan which is the the bottom quote of the ad.
BANANA CEREAL BOX AD.
To create this cereal box was sort of difficult. I had to start with paper and pencil and draw a sketch first. Then I started creating it in Illustrator and got the results that you see above. Somehow I was able to mentally grow with knowledge from things I did not know how to use at first. I learned to you various tools like the pen tool, brush tool, text editor and more. I'd like to consider my art to be pretty good because of all the effort I put forth into it.
This project was based off of creating and add that would tell people not to smoke. Over the time that I spent doing this project, I learned how to use new tools like the brush tool. At first, when I started the drawing, I couldn't decide on what to draw. As I progressed through the project, I came up with my final design and completed it on time. What I like most about my finished design is everything.
This project was actually kind of difficult at first because when I used the pen tool to trace the car, it was time to go and then next day, I would open the Photoshop file and the tracing was not there. But I managed to figure out how to save the tracing and so I was able to complete the add. What I like about my work is how I was able to make time to create two versions of my car. It took quite a lot of time but I finished. Though out this project, I learned to save the traces I made with the pen tool so that I could just keep on working the next day instead of having to start all over again.
This is my first project completely completed using Adobe Flash. It was difficult to make because there was a lot of coding involved. You must not make a single mistake within the coding because then it will not work. This project has really helped to learn more about how to code games. Learning to use Adobe Flash and learning to code is really something worth learning.
In this project, we were to design a comic book cover. We had to trace an image and place a traced version of our actual face on the characters face. We would then color him in and make him look real. We did this by mostly using the mesh tool which added the shading to the characters cape, suit, hair, hands, and his boots. One of my biggest obstacles was actually the project itself because I don't like comic books. Once I tried to do the project, I realized that the project was pretty fun to make. This project has shown growth in me because I learned to properly the LIVE PAINT BUCKET TOOL.
